God is calling us forward in faith! As we celebrate 90 years of God’s faithfulness at Victory Church, we stand at an exciting crossroads. Our church’s journey, always marked by a commitment to people over places, has seen us worshiping in schools, theaters, even a trash company headquarters! This unwavering dedication to reaching others for Christ is woven into our very DNA.
THIS WEEK'S STORY
With our current lease expiring in just four years, I’m confident that God is opening an extraordinary door. Now is the time for all of us to lean on God and take the giant step of faith needed to move forward with creating space for those who need the hope only found in Jesus. We don’t know exactly where this building will be, but through faith we can already see it!

THIS WEEK'S DEVOTIONAL | Week of March 9-15
WE INVITE YOU TO WALK THROUGH THIS PRAYER GUIDE AS YOU ASK GOD WHAT PART HE WANTS YOU TO PLAY IN WELCOME YOUR WORLD.
HOW TO USE THIS DEVOTIONAL: Over the next five weeks, we encourage you to set aside five days per week to read the assigned Scripture and the quote from the book True Riches.* Reflect on what God is saying to you through them. Take time to pray each day for how you can welcome your world into the hope of Jesus in partnership with your local church, Victory Church.
DAY 1
CONTENTMENT, IN CONTRAST TO ENDLESS STRIVING, IS A POSTURE OF THE HEART THAT RESTS PEACEFULLY IN THE PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES NO MATTER WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE. IT’S THE HEALING BALM THAT HELPS US FEEL SATISFIED RATHER THAN RESTLESS. BUT IT CAN BE HARD TO GRASP, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE LIVE IN A CULTURE DRIVEN SO MUCH BY CONSUMER MENTALITY.
O LORD, my heart is not conceited. My eyes do not look down on others. I am not involved in things too big or too difficult for me. Instead, I have kept my soul calm and quiet. My soul is content as a weaned child is content in its mother’s arms. Israel, put your hope in the LORD now and forever. Psalm 131 GWT
DAY 2
COVETING, AT ITS CORE, IS SIMPLY THE BELIEF THAT IF I HAD MORE, I’D BE HAPPIER. THINK OF IT AS STRIVING, YEARNING, RESTLESSLY SEEKING MORE. IT IS A FORM OF IDOLATRY THAT LEADS US AWAY FROM GOD.
Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 1 Timothy 6:9-10
DAY 3
CONTENTMENT RESTS PEACEFULLY IN OUR PRESENT CIRCUMSTANCES.
At last I have seen what is good and beautiful: It is to eat and drink and to enjoy the good in all our hard work under the sun during the brief lives God gives us. That is our lot in life. It is a gift from God when God gives some people wealth and possessions, the power to enjoy them, the ability to accept their lot in life, and the ability to rejoice in their own hard work. These people won’t give much thought to their brief lives because God keeps them occupied with the joy in their hearts. Ecclesiastes 5:18-20 GWT
DAY 4
JOY IS A DECISION OF HOW WE RESPOND TO LIFE. HOW DO WE FACE SUFFERING?
The Lord has filled me with joy because you again showed interest in me. You were interested but did not have an opportunity to show it. I’m not saying this because I’m in any need. I’ve learned to be content in whatever situation I’m in. I know how to live in poverty or prosperity. No matter what the situation, I’ve learned the secret of how to live when I’m full or when I’m hungry, when I have too much or when I have too little. I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:10-13 GWT
DAY 5
THE BALANCE WE’RE AFTER HERE IS JOYFUL, GRACE-FILLED SIMPLICITY.
The wise store up choice food and olive oil, but fools gulp theirs down. Proverbs 21:20
IMAGINE A FACILITY EQUIPPED TO:
- Welcome our world into an experience with God: A state-of-the-art, 1,000-seat (or more) worship space where even more people can experience the presence of God.
- Expand our ministries: More room to serve families with vibrant children’s programs, our early learning academy, dynamic youth events, and adult discipleship.
- Host conferences, workshops, and regional events: Providing impactful training, leadership development, and unwavering support to churches, nonprofits, and other organizations across our region.
- Offer need-meeting ministries, counseling, and support services: A base for expanded outreach and a safe haven for those seeking the healing, freedom, and guidance only Christ can give.
WHAT ARE WE ASKING YOU TO DO?
FAQs
WHY DO WE NEW FACILITIES?
We want to do everything we can to be inviting to our community. As you know we are blessed with space for our Sunday worship services but we have little room for growth. Our visibility, location and parking area serve as a barrier to people – we don’t want our facility to keep anyone from finding Jesus! We believe we need the right space, designed for today’s culture to do even more ministry. We are not willing to miss any opportunity to reach anyone because of our facility.
WHAT WILL THE IMPROVED FACILITY BE LIKE?
Our new facility will be state of the art. To reach our world we have plans to have the latest technology, an expansive atrium for connection and fellowship, inviting areas for our kids with super-secure check-in and security.
WHAT ARE YOU ASKING ME TO DO?
We’re asking everyone to pray and ask God to help them make a truly generous financial commitment to WELCOME YOUR WORLD. Each of us should ask God if our giving truly represents our desire to place Him before all things. Ask God to help you make the largest single commitment you have ever made to a church.
HOW LONG WILL MY WELCOME YOUR WORLD COMMITMENT BE?
Your WELCOME YOUR WORLD commitment will be for 24 months. Some will give their give all at once, some will give it weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually.
WILL MY COMMITMENT BE KEPT CONFIDENTIAL
Yes! Your WELCOME YOUR WORLD commitment will be handled with confidentiality as all giving at Victory Church is.
