The project: Volunteers will help create a “Backyard Classroom Oasis” for students, as well as plant flowers in the front yard space. Support includes clearing weeds and debris, setting up a table for outside use, building a garden box, helping clean up and sort the outside toy bins, and planting flowers in the front yard.
The Partnering Organization: Girls First is a tuition-free, out-of-school program for girls in grades one through four that builds character, instills a positive sense of self, and provides tangible life skills.
